VOLUNTEER FORM

In recent years, the estate has benefited from particular support from local cultural organizations.  This has included the Orion Historical Society, who initiated research and fund raising activities several years ago, and the Orion Art Center, which has played a significant role in bringing the arts and the mansion together.  Since 2005, Guest House has worked together with these two organizations to help raise awareness—and access—of the public to the site. The annual Scripps Days: Arts Autos and Architecture has been successful in opening up the doors—and the possibilities—of this wonderful place.  In its first three years, approximately $40,000 was raised.  Among the first projects undertaken at the house has been the restoration of the stained glass, which was designed by the famous Detroit Stained Glass Works.
